.....so much happening and the gremlins at work!
Phew here I am at one stage I thought I have lost my blog lol - okay not that funny.
I just could not log in, and when that happens and you know you have the correct login and password (or do I?) then one can get quite desperate.

Well here back at last able to login. On the home front been traveling a bit, went to Swaziland and some new characters evolved there with a new plot.

Well more about the next novel later for now just wanted to visit my blog and get in :)

Hi all, well here I am settled (sort of) in Mozambique. No furniture yet, so 'camping' in the home.
Eldest still in Cape Town completing his snr year, the other two wonderful kids slowly but surely settling into their new roetine and school.
Good News, my books are now available from Barnes and Noble! Just received the news from my Editor. Yay.

It is official we are relocating to Mozambique this month, the packers move in on the 21st!

Some years ago, someone asked me to write down what I wish for career wise. I wrote down, that I would like be an author, living on a tropical Island, and have a view of the ocean whilst working on my manuscript! Our home may not have the view - YET But I am writing and though Cape Town is on the 10 top places to see, Mozambique is picturesque

So what's new....I must finish Broken Lives...three more chapters to do BECAUSE we are moving and I have 27 years of junk to get rid of before the end of April. I am not moving with it to Mozambique. Yip you have it right, the whole family is relocating to Mozambique!

I had an awesome weekend with my family. The Cape Town weather was beautiful and the setting at Pearl Valley Golf Estate superb for a weekend getaway and to celebrate my son's 18th! The whole family enjoyed, so did the invited guests/friends... and the best of all...

My lover and I... were able to steal some 'our time'.....

Valentines past ....Sadly I know two couples who divorced - (in anger/pain) who subsequently married someone else, but who regret divorcing their first love in the first place. There really should be a 'cooling' period before one takes that final plunge (except in spousal/partner physical abuse-here you just get out fast)

Some people hang in for too long others not long enough.

Wish someone could give us that magic recipe to follow.

For those lucky enough to be in a good relationship - hold on tight!

2010 - Lots of projects planned, ie Afr Publisher interested in some Afrikaans work, whether I will be able to write romance in Afri is another matter ...so that is a challenge and then of course to get my other writing off the mark and known is also a challenge.

Good News, Shattered Dreams released October 2009.
Busy with next project, Broken lives explores the influence of others on us, good or bad and how we grow and triumph. Last Chapter almost done, then to Judy and Sonika who are my first time reader/s for their critique. What would life be without FRIENDS!

Life Begins at 40 ...

Go to UTube and type in Susan Boyle, she has blown me away, it shows you it is never too late! Elizabeth Boyle is also a favourite author of mine, I wonder if the two Boyl'S are family (?) So the moral of the story, go out there make you dream come true, whatever it is; sometimes we have to live and experience life before we are 'ready' for more.

My edits are almost done, and at last my next Novel will see the light.

My fault but just so caught up in life and got a bit bogged down, but back with new drive. My editor who has received a gift from God, to know what to say and when, and is an inspiration and the world could do with more people like you, Wendy thank you!

Well thank goodness Friday is here, it's been a long week. I have a lot of catching up to do, as my deadline looms ahead lol. But I (and the family and 4mth Labrador pup) will be going to the beach now, to unwind and clear away the weeks cobwebs

With Valentine done, we are looking forward to Easter, and before we know it, it will be mid year and I for one will wonder where the time went.

Sadly the Festive reason and my break is officially over, though I do note that the Stores are already carrying the Valentine stock lol

Still a bit of break on the home front as the kids only go back to school later this month, to start their New Year in their next Grade/s and with this comes the realization that they are getting bigger by the day and I older :)

Been quiet, busy with exams (the kids lol) also finishing off for Festive reason as we go on vacation the 15th December. Flying to Bloemfontein to spend some time with the family and taking my mother (grand age of 80) with so that she can spend some quality time with her sister and the rest of the family.

I am looking forward to some 'catch up and our time' with my Hubby.

But overall this is a nice read. Nice details, nice characters, nice action…

Nothing new on the home front, except I hit a block with my new manuscript but pleased to confirm have 'de moved on' and happy with results :)
I spoke to family in the Free State they had their air conditioners/fans on it is so hot there, and last night I warmed my feet in front of the fire...don't know when Summer proper is going to arrive in Cape Town.
Interim though thankful for the rain, as we won't get a drop until Winter arrives.
I am taking 'time out' tomorrow to re-charge my batteries.
Oh by the way, Sakis Rouvas music is excellent for those who do not know him; and playing his music in the background gets me writing oh so fine lol. For the 'young ones' check him out, he is tall dark and very handsome.

Today is a lovely day, and all is about in Paarl. All the eateries are busy, and people sitting along the sidewalk Cafe's, leaves us with the illusion Summer has arrived.

I've just completed my edits and sent it off to my Editor (...in the nick of time)
Also the characters in my 3rd novel is pushing for me to get done, as are my friends Judy and Sonika. They are insisting on the next draft. Thanks Guys, this keeps me going. Also to my MSFiction team, who know just what to say to get me going lol.
I'm off now to spend some time with the family, especially my little girl who has been nagging for some fun stuff and a tickle. Thanks to Dad and the boys for taking her on a picnic, so that I could get this done.

Tomorrow is a Public Holiday -Heritage Day, and it is officially Braai Day here, (Barbeque Day) so it is 'tjops', wors (sausage), sosaties and salads. No hamburger patties/hotdogs allowed lol.
The whole family is looking forward to it, notwithstanding I hopefully will also then be done with the final read/edits, to forward onto my very patient Editor - Thank you Wendy :)

Tuesday 9 September, cold, rainy day in Paarl. Snow on it's way, and it's suppose to be Spring, so here we would say 'ja met ys'.
But the upside, stay home and write, so a good thing. Though I must hurry and get done, as the characters in my third manuscript is giving me a hard time, as this is only half done.
But the kids would like to go to Cerus if it does snow this weekend to experience it first hand, so we'll see how far I get.
